For 25 years, EnAble India has empowered over 3.25 lakh lives across 28 states, enabling PwDs to become workforce contributors and changemakers. With deep experience across 19 disabilities, pioneering initiatives, and systemic partnerships, EnAble India is now driving the Purple Economy Movement—transforming inclusion from a moral imperative into an engine of economic and social growth.
Goa State Centre is building a community-led model for disability inclusion—impacting 3000+ lives. With 8 sectors opened up for hiring and 40+ departments submitting Equal Opportunity Policies, the initiative combines policy, tech, data, and partnerships. The model was preceded by the successful Purple Fest, spearheaded by EnAble India and the Goa Government, with the latest edition drawing over 1 lakh footfalls.
Purple Rides provides accessible transport for PwDs. The initiative introduced app accessibility and trained 1,98,000 drivers. In 10 months, it generated ₹20M in revenue, serving 1,14,000 PwDs. Drivers are proud to be part of it and customers see it as an empathetic service benefiting PwDs, seniors, and those with temporary injuries or illnesses.
Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru is leading by example in the Purple Economy—embedding inclusion across infrastructure, workforce, and passenger experience. From India’s first Sensory Room at an airport to employing 26 PwDs and engaging 44,000+ travellers in awareness initiatives, BLR Airport is proving that accessibility is not an add-on—it’s a driver of innovation, dignity, and inclusive growth.
